We are now looking for a passionate results-driven software developer. You would join us at a particular moment where we intensify our product efforts, and would therefore play a key role in the development of our SaaS platform, our Tech team and culture.
The role
As a Front-end Developer, you will take part in building the front-end part of our SaaS application. Its most visible piece currently consists of our Data analytics notebooks, which combine sleek text and SQL editors with specific data capabilities (query, visualization, and documentation to name a few). Your short- and mid-term challenges will hence include:
Build a powerful, collaborative, and easy-to-use document editor
Expand data visualization capabilities
Ensure high performance and responsiveness
Together with our lead software engineer and our in-house designer, you will bring to life an ambitious product roadmap. This ranges from developing innovative features for specific data use cases, to taking advantage of the latest web technologies to provide top-notch user experience.
You will join a team of talented, and passionate engineers. We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle hard and exciting problems.

You
You would be a good fit at Husprey if you are passionate about building products that users fall in love with! You have a self-starter spirit, are comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration. You are flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a start-up environment.
Your success in this role will lie in your ability to tackle complex technical challenges. To do so, you question requirements, split large features into smaller deliverables, identify and take shortcuts. You also independently research, analyze, evaluate, and document these issues and solutions. We hence consider good written/verbal communication skills in both English and French as critical, together with a creative and detail-oriented mindset.
To best fill this role, you have 3+ years of professional experience as a member of an engineering team developing front-end applications at scale, with some of the technologies mentioned above. You have already worked with a product designer on a formal design system (with associated tools like Figma), and know about performance bottlenecks and optimization techniques.
Additionally, any experience or knowledge about the following fields would be a plus:
Data Visualization challenges and technologies
Text / document edition libraries
